No. Scans, recognized text, and saved signatures are stored on your iPhone or iPad, and text recognition runs on the device using Apple's Vision technology. A document leaves your device only when you choose to share or export it, for example to Mail, Files, or iCloud Drive. No account is required.

Yes. Scanning, editing, text recognition, search, signing, and organizing all work without an internet connection. You need a connection only to buy or restore Premium, or to send a file to an online service.

Yes. UltraScanner is a universal app for iPhone and iPad. Premium purchases are available on both when you use the same Apple Account and tap Restore Purchase on the Premium screen.

Open the document in UltraScanner and run text recognition from the toolbar. UltraScanner reads each page on your device, detects the language automatically, and lets you copy the text, export it as a TXT file, translate it, or save a searchable PDF.

Yes. The search field in UltraScanner matches both file names and the recognized text inside your scans, so you can find a receipt, contract, or letter by a word that appears on the page. You can also search within a single open document.

UltraScanner uses the text recognition built into iOS, which detects the language automatically and supports languages including English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Ukrainian, Thai, Vietnamese, and Arabic, depending on your iOS version.

Recognition works best on a flat, evenly lit page. Rescan with the page filling the frame, avoid glare, and choose a higher scan quality in Settings. Handwriting and very small print are recognized less reliably than printed text.

Open the PDF, choose the signature tool, and draw your signature once. UltraScanner saves it, in the color you pick, so you can place it on any page of any document later.

UltraScanner adds a visual signature; check that the recipient accepts this kind of electronic signature for your document.

Yes. You can encrypt a PDF with a password before you share it. You can also lock the whole app with a 4 to 8 digit passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID.

PDF, JPG, and TXT. When you share, choose the original, large, medium, or small file size, then send by email or Messages, save to Files, iCloud Drive, or Photos, open in another app, or print to an AirPrint printer.

Yes. Say "Scan a document with UltraScanner" to Siri, add the scan action to the Shortcuts app or the Action button, or add the UltraScanner control to Control Center to open the scanner in one tap.

If your photos are stored in iCloud, the Photos app must download the full-size originals before UltraScanner can import them. Connect to the internet, open each photo once in Photos, and try again.

Sign in with the Apple Account you used to buy Premium, open UltraScanner, go to the Premium screen, and tap Restore Purchase. You need an internet connection while it restores.

UltraScanner stores your documents on your device, not on our servers, so we can't recover them for you. Before you delete the app, erase your device, or switch phones, select your documents and use Share to save them to Files or iCloud Drive.

Apple manages subscriptions. On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose UltraScanner. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.
